Pastor Jim Sheldon comes to us from Western Pennsylvania. His pastoral experience began in 1981-83 as he became Assistant Pastor to a church in Rockville Ill. From there he became a consultant for ABC (TABCOM) in MA with the focus on ethnic church development. After this period of ministry, he was called to a church in Mass. as Pastor, there he established new ministries. After serving seven years as pastor of the Allendale Baptist Church in RI, Rev. Sheldon took a position as pastor of Penn Hills Baptist in Verona Pa. from which he is called to Pearl Street Baptist Church. His M. Div. degree is from the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds degrees from U. of Maryland.

His interests aside from pastoral ministry are music, computers, foreign cultures, languages, pure & natural sciences. Pastimes are: golf, music, (vocal and instrumental) mechanics and carpentry. Pastor Jim and his wife Jean are parents of two adult sons.

David McCollum came to us after graduation from Moody Bible Institute. His work with youth since 1989 includes youth leadership at Cumberland County Community Church and Sauk Village Bible Church in Sauk Village, IL. At Pearl Street Baptist, he is involved in the lives of the youth of the church and wherever he can help to guide teens to new life in Christ. Also, during the interim period at PSBC, Dave has capably led worship, preaching and reorganizing Praise!, our contemporary music group. Dave and his wife Cindy are parents of daughters Kelli & Allison Joy. Dave believes his calling is to minister primarily to youth. His satisfaction in his work is to see the change in the lives of the youth and see the potential of service to God unfold in the lives of young Christians.
